Welcome to Josh’s website with information about who he is, what he has done and what he has got in the works.
First, let’s answer a question you probably have right off the bat. What‘s up with the .fr domain? Well Paris feels like his second home because he’s spent so much time there for Photosol US Renewable Energy , EDF Renewables and ENGIE North America. His career and many of his successes have their roots planted in Paris. He also absolutely loves the place and his friends as well as colleagues there. He’s lived on Paris time for about the last decade for both work and staying in touch with some of his favorite Parisians. He has lost track of how many times he has had the opportunity to visit and when he leaves he can not wait to get back.
Originally from California, Josh graduated from BYU with a BS in Geography and Business. He received his MBA from UOP and furthered his education with leadership courses at UCLA.
Josh has founded / co-founded several companies including Energy Capital Group, Panorama Company, Four Corners Solar Center, Panorama Holding Company, Photosol US Renewable Energy, Sundance View Holding Company Sober.Buzz, xREnergy and RWA Infra Development. He remains CEO of the Panorama companies, Sundance View, Sober.Buzz, xREnergy and RWA along with being a board member of Energy Capital Group. He is also a board member at Hunkapi a rehabilitation and recovery facility specializing in equine therapy.
ENGIE NA’s acquisition of Photosol in 2022 was considered one of the largest renewable energy deals within the previous five years. It consisted of a project pipeline totaling over 7GW of solar and 4GW storage along with the company platform. After closing, he remained with ENGIE as an Executive/Vice-President of Greenfield Development. Josh has also sited, developed and sold solar w/storage projects to EDF Renewables (2016) and D.E. Shaw aka DESRI (2022) totaling over 900MW.
Today Josh is active through the various entities mentioned earlier in energy development as well as crypto mining, crypto investing, token minting, real estate and being a social media influencer via Sober.Buzz. He is also a minority shareholder of the Oakland Ballers Minor League Baseball Team that plays in the triple A Pioneer League and a bitcoin mining company called Infinity Hash. Josh also consults as an energy industry expert for the firm Dialectica and their clients.
Josh credits his motivation to pay it forward to his recovery from alcoholism and addiction. His journey began in rehab at Cirque Lodge in Sundance, UT where he went twice in 2023, then continued to Next Steps in Orem, UT and finally he went to Burning Tree Programs’ Renewal Lodge in Elgin, TX. He continued his recovery program at The Arbor Behavioral Healthcare intensive outpatient program in Austin, TX where he currently resides. As part of his new sober life he feels honored by the opportunity to serve as Board Member at Hunkapi. The Sober.Buzz Project is also a passion of his because he his now able in his recovery to help others like so many have helped him get to where he is today. He actually feels he is living life not just existing and is no longer imprisoned by past traumatic events. He loves to say “In rehab at Renewal they taught me how to live life in the present, not dwell on the past or future trip.” A lot of work and daily work continues to go into that but it’s changed him and his life.
Josh resides in Austin, TX with his fiancé Heidi and their yorkie-poo, Sophia Loren. Josh has three adult kids; Madeline, Mikey and Maia. In their spare time they love to travel, spend time at their home on the Florida Gulf Coast and visit the kids in Salt Lake City. Interesting facts about Josh include he has been to 43 states with the lifetime goal of visiting all 50 states, 14 countries and the funnest fact is that is including North Korea.
